GOAT DESTRUCTION IN WAKATIPU AREA
A high degree of goat infestation was found in the Wakatipu area last year, according to a report from the Internal Affairs Department. A campaign was carried out against these pests and at September 30, 1947, it wai reported that 17,819 goats had been destroyed.
