RABBIT SKIN SALE REPORT

Market Finn ' Oe account of a considerable lapse of time between sales over the holiday period, a very large catalogue of rabbitskins was submitted for auction at the Otago Farmers’ Co-op. Association sale held on February 10, when competition was well spread. The offering comprised for the most part summers, milky and runners, which sold very well for this period of the year. The following is the range of prices:—Third broken, to per lb; second broken, to 89£ d; milky, to 45d; summers, 45d to 47d; runners, to 96d; racks, to lOld; weevilly, 12d to 36d; third blacks, to 53£ d; second blacks, to 65d; third fawns, to 45d; hareskins, to 30d; goat skins, to 2s 3d. Our next sale is scheduled for March 2, 1948. The subsidy on milky does and smalls will be uplifted after this auction.
