Cromwell Magistrate's Court

For being in possession of a firearm for a period of more than seven days without registering himself as the owner, Heny Theodore Toms was convicted and fined £3 (costs 11s) in the Cromwell Magistrate’s Court by Mr A. E. Dobbie, S.M. John Edward Cannan was convicted and fined 10s (costs 10s) for operating a motor vehicle without a warrant of fitness. Also at the sitting 57 mining applications were set down for hearing, several of them being granted, the remainder being adjourned until next court day, which will be on Tuesday, March 2, 1948.
