BOWLING AT WANAKA

In the Anal of the Ladies’ Bowling Championship Singles Mrs Holiday defeated ills Borrow 21—14. In the fifth round of the Men’s Senior Championship Singles J. Borrow (two lives) defeated T. Bridgeman (two lives) 18—16. A. Campbell a bye. In the fourth round of the Men’s Junior Championship Singles E. Richmond (two lives) defeated J. Gardiner (one life) 17—13. J. Walsh a bye. In the second round of the Ladies’ Pairs Championships Mesdames Borrow and McKegg defeated Mesdames Forth and Wilson 15 —14. Mesdames Studholme and Robertson defeated Mrs Andrew and Miss Jopp 26 —14; Mesdames Halliday and Baterson a bye. Two rinks of lady bowlers from Bannockburn visited Wanaka on Saturday, February 7, to play a friendly match and both games were won by Wanaka.
