WEATHER
Very warm weather was experienced during New Year, latterly unsettled showery weather prevails. Several dances were held during the holidays, the New Year’s Eve dance proving an immense success, music being supplied by Mesdames Heffernan and D. Scott and Messrs Carr, Robinson and Heffernan. The M.C. was Mr J, Wylie. Crowds of holiday-makers have been visiting the district and many tramping parties have been doing the Eees, Dart and Routeburn areas.
