WANAKA LIBRARY AFFAIRS
A meeting of tho Wanaka Library Committee was held on Monday. .December 1. Mrs W. Manson presided. Several residents have requested books' available only through the Country Library Service. This matter was discussed and the committee decided to join the country service for one year, commencing March, 11)48. The committee also decided to raise subscriptions to 1.3s yearly, 8s half-yearly, and .3s per quarter. The tender of Mr J. King for the lease of the library paddock was accepted, on the same terms as in the past.
