LAKE COUNTY MAIL No. 29. Wednesday, December 10, 1947. CHANGE MEANS PROGRESS
With this week's issue of the Lake Count}) Mail another step has been made towards this newspaper’s ultimate aim—the fullest service for the community it serves. To fulfil this it has been necessary to increase the size of the “ Mail's ” pages. Technical reasons for this change are increased pressure of both advertising and news copy — symptomatic, we hope, of the “ Mail’s ” growing popularity as a weekly newspaper. While the number of pages has been decreased there has been no curtailment of space allotted to reading matter, news and features, and the new arrangement permits of this being displayed and presented to the reader in a more attractive and convenient fashion. While “ quality before quantity ” is the motto of this, us of every reputable journal, readers may look in the not too far distant future to an increase in the actual number of pages printed. Growing support for the “Mail” demands its .equivalent in increased services, and this new edition is an indication that our obligation to the community will be fulfilled.
