SUN-DRIED BLOCKS TO BE USED BY P.W.D.

A contract for the erection of a sundried block house for the Public Works Department at Arrowtown, was let last week. Building- is expected to begin near the end of January of next year. The sun-dried blocks for the house are to be made by Mr J. Haig of Lauder. In an interview with the “ Mail ” last .week, Mr Haig said that the fact that the Public Works Department had decided to use sun-dried blocks, was proof enough of their stability as a building material.
