TENNIS

WANAKA AND HAWEA FLAT DRAW On Saturday, December 12, the Hawea Flat tennis team played their first match of the season, when they visited Wanaka. The games were keenly contested and the match ended in a draw, each team winning seven sets and 52 games. At the conclusion of the match, Mr T. Allison, on behalf of the Hawea Club thanked the Wanaka players for an enjoyable afternoon, while Mr L Parrant replied on behalf of the Wanaka Club.
