Fortune Fluctuates For Queenstown Bowling Teams

Queenstown defeated Clyde in two out of three games in the Otago Centre Rinks Competition on the Queenstown green last Saturday. Following are the scores (Queenstown skips first) : —A. Tripp 21, AY. George 18; AA 7 . H. Nelson 27, E. Staveus 13; J. Penman 10, J. Lopdcll 24. Aggregate scores; Queenstown 58, Clyde 55. The Wilkinson Memorial Cup was at stake in the competition, highest aggregate giving the trophy to the local club. The cup was formally handed over to Mr AA’. H. Nelson, president of the Queenstown Club, by Mr W. George in a few congratulatory remarks, to which Air Nelson replied. An Arrowtowu rink defeated Queenstown for the Colchy Bowl last week. Blinks were: —Arrowtowu —G. OgiJvie (s), A. Bridge, J. AV. Reed, AV 7 . Gibb 25; Queenstown —AA 7 . Nelson (s.). D. AV. Thomson, J. AA'alsh, AA 7 . Smith 17.
