WANAKA W.D.F.F.

Mrs W. Manson presided at the monthly meeting of the Wanaka branch of the W.D.F.F., held at Mrs D. R. Campbell’s residence on Tuesday of last week. The roll-call was “Soap for Corso.” The annual show, which Avill be held next year, was discussed by members. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect for Mrs C. Tapley, who recently lost her small son. Several competitions were held during the afternoon, and there was also a market table for funds for the division. A one-act play, “ The Lightweight,” was staged. Those taking part were Mesdames G. Morris, W. Ironside, D. Campbell. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames N. Scaife, A. Scaife, and W. Scaife.
