Sealing of Frankton Road The Frankton road section of the Milton-Queenstown State highway is to receive preparation and priming at an early date. A contract has been let to Messrs Fulton, Hogan, Ltd., of Dunedin, for the sealing of 3j miles of this road extending from the Queenstown borough boundary to Frankton. The priming coat will be laid this season and the road will receive the final application of road-oil and chips next summer. The new pavement will be laid to a width of 20 feet. School Activities The senior pupils of the primary school and the pupils of the District High School were afforded an opportunity to take part in a “ mock election ” during last week. The county clerk, -M> E. R. Hopwood, gave the children *a • talk upon the subject of local * body, elections after which nomination papers were distributed and an election was conducted. Mr M. T. Robertson, town clerk, assisted and also explained voting methods to the children.
