The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce asked if the* council would give its support to an air freight service from Alexandra or for persons desiring to travel by air. The Mayor, replying to the letter, said he did not think the council would favour the Alexandra field as against either Frankton or Cromwell. He considered the former a much superior field. It would take at least two hours to .reach the Alexandra field from Queenstown. —The Mayor’s reply was approved of. The application of W. McDonald to burn tussock on Ben Lomond scenic reserve, which was assented to by the Commissioner of Crown Lands was granted.
