A committee Avas formed, and it was decided to hold a carnival, to commence at Christmas and conclude at Easter. A further meeting was held on Friday evening (October 31), and the following queens were nominated: Sports Queen, Miss Sheila Scaife; Farmers’ Queen, Miss M. Jenkins (Tarras); Visitors’ Queen, Miss J. Lunn. As it is some considerable time since a function of this kind has been held in Wanaka, the' committee should be assured of the full support of the public.
