ALBATROSS PROTECTION
What did the Government propose to do to prevent a continuation of interference with the royal albatross, whose nesting place at Otago Peninsula had been interefered with by vandals, asked Mr T. L. Macdonald (Nat., Wallace) during discussion of the Estimates in the House of Representatives. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Parry, remarked that it was very difficult to prevent vandalism in isolated districts. Mr Macdonald said the Otago Harbour Board had done what it could towards providing protection. The matter should be given some publicity because it was vandalism of the lowest order.
