GLEE CLUB FORMED

The formation of a Glee Club promises to fill a gap in the musical life of the community of Queenstown. A strong committee', comprising the following, was formed at the meeting held last Friday:—President, Mr J. G. Forbes; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Smith and W. D. Warren; conductor, Mr E. E. Hopwood; secretary, Miss 0. Christie; committee—Mesdames Hayward and Donaldson, Miss McAlister and Mr J. McDonald. More male voices are urgently required and it is hoped that all those who sing will take this opportunity to participate in group singing. The next meeting is to be held in the school on Wednesday, October 22, at 8 p.m.
