CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF MACHINERY

The County chairman, commenting upon the county engineer’s reply to a councillor as to the alleged damage to machines through lack of attention, stated that it is extremely important that due care and attention be given to all machinery operated by the council. Some of the machines in question are of high value and intricate to service and maintain, therefore it is imperative that all operators should take a real interest in their machines, otherwise very serious damage and unnecessary cost may be the result. Operators of such machines have a very responsible job indeed and he was sure that he was voicing the opinion of members when he stated that every councillor is deeply appreciative of the efforts of all those drivers or operators who seriously look after the council’s plant.
