PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE A campaign for the collection of snail bird eggs has been conmienced to com hat the menace of small birds in tin district. It is hoped that the Laki County Council will grant financial as sistance in this direction. The monthly meeting was held 01 October 4. Mr J. Reid presiding over ; good attendance. SCHEELITE There are now a good number ol miners at work on their claims, and it is anticipated that the season will be a good one as the price for scheelite al present is high. WEATHER The weather has been very changeable, heavy rain fell last week, but line weather prevails at the time of writing.
