QUEENSTOWN ROTARY CLUB

Vice-president B. Vereoc presided over the weekly meeting of the Queenstown Rotary Club on Tuesday. He called for a vote of sympathy with Mr Janies McDonald in the death of his brother, Mr Albert McDonald. The vote was observed in the usual manner. For the Overseas toast, Rev. P. Anderson chose the town of Bradford, England, which he was well acquainted with. A suggestion which the members were asked to consider was the issue of a small typed Gazette of an informative character pertaining to the town. A paper on the subject of “ Success in Life,” given to the Wellington Rotary Club, was read by Mr Will Hayward. As several high school boys were guests, Mr C. H. McKay explained to them the formation and objects of Rotary. The vice-president gave an account of his meeting, with other Eotarians, Mr S. Kendrick Guernsey, Florida, president of Rotary International. Some interesting talks were given.
