THE WEATHER
The weather for the past week was fair at first, but ragged clouds ; approached at 3.30 on Wednesday and were followed by a period of heavy rain. Mild to cloudy conditions prevailed on Thursday with some improvement. There was a heavy frost on Friday morning with fair conditions and a further improvement on Saturday.
