School Children Keep Arbor Day

On Wednesday morning last week Queenstown school children, celebrating Arbor Day, planted about 330 pinus insignus trees in tlie cemetery reserve. The Mayor, Dr W r . A. Anderson, spoke to the children on the significance of the day' and asked them to guard against damage to the young growth until it reached maturity. In the afternoon the children had lunch on the recreation ground, followed by sports.
