There isn't any feeling in the world More hard to hear Than the dreadful sense of loneliness When no one stems to care. And a world of disappointments Cannot wound with harder stings Than the trusted friends who fail us In the precious Little things., So we ought to he more grateful For the tender words and deeds Of the ones who understand us, And can satisfy our needs. It needn’t he in great things, But the right word, kindly spoken, And the little friendly acts that save Our hearts from being broken.
