LADIES’ BOWLING
Annual Meeting Held
“ The success of the coming season rests entirely in your hands and as retiring president I urge you never to lose enthusiasm and loyalty as active members of the club. With continued co-operation and support greater progress will be made in the future,” stated Mrs E, Erridge at the annual meeting of the Arrow Ladies’ Bowling Club, which was held on Tuesday, September 23. All those who had participated in games during the season had thoroughly enjoyed themselves and interest had not been as great as might have been. The prospects for the future were bright. A donation of £6 was made to the Arrowtown Bowling Club with the suggestion that this money be used to purchase a hot water urn, which was badly - required at the pavilion. During the year the club had the misfortune to lose Miss Thompson, who had been an efficient secretary and one of the club's best players. The annual report and balance sheet, which disclosed a satisfactory financial position, were adopted. Mrs Gibb presented the club with two silver buttons for Pairs competition. The following office-bearers were appointed for the coming year: Patron, Mrs E. L. Thompson; president, Mrs W. B. Gibb; vice-president, Mrs E. Summers; secretary and treasurer, Mrs X. B. Ritchie; committee Mesdames Gibb, Summers, Erridge, Ogilvie, Souders, Here, Given, Ritchie and Mias Methven.
