School Children’s Ski-ing Competition At Coronet Peak
An impromptu ski-ing competition for school children "ook place on the Coronet Peak ski field last week-end. The snow was in excellent condition and many of the young enthusiasts made remarkably good runs. Results are: Senior. —Miss P. Todd, first run, 18sec; second run, 17 l-ssec; aggregate, 35 l-ssec, 1; Miss M. Coxhead, 20 2-5 sec and 19sec;_ aggregate, 39 2-ssec, 2; Miss P. Hamilton, 27sec and 23 4-ssec; aggregate, 50 4-ssec, 3; Miss N. Hamilton', 30sec and 29 2-ssec; aggregate 59 2-ssec, 4; Miss J. M. Anderson, 38 3-ssec and 38 2-ssec; aggregate 77see, 5; Miss J.. Spencer, 56 3-ssec and 34 2- aggregate, 91sec, 6. Intermediate—Miss Y. Coxhead, 18 3- and 18 l-ssec; aggregate, 36 4-5 sec, 1; Mr D. Coxhead, 23 4-ssec and 16 2-ssec; aggregate, 40 l-ssec, 2. Juniors.— Miss A. Todd, 16 3-ssec and 17sec; aggregate, 33 3-ssec, 1; Miss E. Todd, 15 l-ssec and 26 2-sscc; aggregate, 41 3-sscc, 2; Miss S. Hamilton, 26sec and 17sec; aggregate, 43sec, 3. The prizes were donated by townspeople and the formal presentation of same was made by Mrs Gibsbn in Eichardt’s Hotel.
