CORRESPONDENCE

The Editor will be pleased to accept for publication letters under this heading. It should be clearly understood that the views expressed are not necessarily those of this newspaper.

Sir, —When J. E. Home gives his opinions on the Borough Finances he also gives the impression, that he has never had the opportunity of rewarding a faithful and valued servant. As far as “ cleaning the place up ” and “ the shortage of finances is concerned I would say from my own observations, that the town is no more in need of cleaning up, or of finance either, than hundreds of other towns of the same size I could mention.” Regardless of J. E. Home’s peculiar views 1 am sure that Queenstown will be the prouder for having given concrete evidence, and not mere lip service, of the very high regard in which the retiring town clerk is held. —I am, c t c . Homeless.
