EUCHRE TOURNAMENT
The St. Joseph Church Committee’s fortnightly euchre tournament, held in the “Ambassadors,” Queenstown, on Wednesday of last week, was well attended. The prize-winners for the evening were: Women, Mrs H. D. Walker 1, Mrs G-. McMillan runner-up; gentlemen, Mr R. Cumberbeach 1, Mr D. J. Cosgrove runner-up. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs K. Sanders, Mrs L. Forde/Mrs T. J. Wilson, Mrs M. T. Robertson, Mrs Douaghue, and Miss C. Dagg. The aggregates for the highest number of points received during the season’s series of winter socials were won by Mrs J. Muir, women’s prize, and Mr W. H, Nelson, prize.
