A quiet wedding of local interest was solemnised at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Queenstown, on August 7, at 8.15 a.m., when Evelyn May, youngest daughter of Mrs Tweedie and the late Mr Tweedie, of Milton, was married to Francis Paton, third son of Mrs K. Sanders and the late Mr Sanders, Shotover street, Queenstown. The bride was attended by Miss Monica M. Ward as bridesmaid, and Mr AWan Sanders, brother of the groom, was best man. After the ceremony, which was officiated by the Rev. Father W. A. Hanrahan, ,the happy couple were received by the bridegroom’s mother at a breakfast held in their honour.
