ADDRESS ON NORWAY Queenstown Rotary Club

An address on Norway, the country from which he comes, was given by Mr Olaf Rodegard at the weekly meeting of the Queenstown. Rotary Club, held in the Royal Cafe on Tuesday, last week. Mr Rodegard is ski-ing instructor at Queenstown for the Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Co., Ltd. Mr Rodegard explained how the methods of the people and the general life and living conditions were similar in many ways to those of New Zealand. He discussed the methods of farming, described how full use was made of all available land, and discussed the timber industry. Guests of the club were Rotarian B. Cook, of Waimate, and Dr R. BurnsWatson, of Invercargill. The president, Mr J. Keen, occupied the chair.
