Alterations Made To Wanaka Golf Course

Alterations to the Wanaka Golf Course made recently include five new holes and an alteration in the existing course.of play. The five holes by the “Gums” plantation which include “ Blessed Isle ” to « Waterloo ” have been abandoned and the club has made five new holes on the Wanaka .Station property at the back of the club house. These new holes are now the first five to be played on the course, while the former No. 18 is No, 6, No. 1 is No. 7, and No. 17 near the club house is now No. 18. The new men’s bogey is 70. Members have been working on the new part of the links and it is expected that the course will be in good order for the annual tournament which is being held during the school term holidays. This tournament is always a popular event with visiting golfers.
