Poor Attendance At the Wanaka Library Meeting
.As in previous vein's the attendance of subscribers fit the annual meeting of the Wanaka Library held recently was poor. The meeting was attended by committee members only and there was no option but to re-elect the committee for a further term.
The balance sheet showed a satisfactory credit, which was most gratifying to the committee, as the financial, position was not good when it went into office.
Mias F. Pervow’s resignation as sec-retary-librariau was received with regret. There were no applications for the position. To avoid closing the library on Saturday evenings, Mrs W. Manson was authorised to approach Mr A. Archer, who has since accepted the position of secretary-librarian. , A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs W, Manson who has been buying the library books for some time and to Mr R. Walker who has acted as honorary auditor for some years. The committee re-elected was: —Chairwoman. Mrs W. Manson; committeeMesdames >T. Perrow, C. Morris, E. Morris and Misseij G. Jopp and F. Perrow.
