Elaborate Musical
Woody Herman’s orchestra provides an elaborate music score supervised by Walter Scharf, studio musical director, in the film, “ Earl Carroll Vanities.” Featured in the cast are Otto Kruger, impersonating Carroll, Eve Arden, Pinky Lee, Alan Mowbray, Parkyakarkus, Jimmy Alexander, Stephanie Bachelor, Kobert Craig and others. Albert J. Cohen produced, with Joseph Santley as director and Sammy Lee in charge of dance numbers. A glamour chorus of 42 girls, a majority of them from Carroll’s stage show, with 12 contract starlets ,bn Republic's roster, staged spectacular dance numbers.
