TREACHEROUS ROADS Winter Hazards

Winter conditions are having their effect on roads in the Lake County and as usually happens at this time of the year milder conditions result in a thaw which makes some of the highways treacherous and tricky for motorists to negotiate.

An example of the risks encountered by motorists foolhardy enough to try the Skipper’s road without chains was one unhappy person who attempted this journey last week and after skidding for a considerable distance, ended up in a culvert.
