Most Grades Par to Firmer
A large catalogue was submitted to a full bench of buyers at the sale held on July 29, when prices for best winter grades wore slightly dearer and lower quality winter grades were firm to a shade easier. Hatters grades were firmer.
The following is the range of prices:—Third broken, to per lb; second broken, to 117 d; first broken, to 124 d; milky, 55d to 99Jd; summers, 74d to 82£ d; late autumns and incomings, to 138 d; fourth spotty bucks, 108 d to 109 d; fourth spotty does, 115 d to 122 d; third spotty bucks, to 123 d; third spotty does, to 132 d; second spotty bucks, 125 d to 13Gd; second spotty does, 131 d to 147 d; first spotty bucks, to 149d;'first spotty does, to 167 d; second winter bucks, 140 d to 172 d; second winter does, 135 d to 23(5d; first winter bucks, laid to 189 d; first winter does, 182 d to 257 d; furrier does, to 244 d; stained does, to 131 d; autumns fatty, to 112 d; winter fatty, to 120 d; weevilly, to 40d; third blacks, to 52|d; second blacks, to 114 d; first blacks, to 2G7d; third fawns, to 80d; second fawns, to 138 d; first fawns, to 196 d; hareskins, 118 d to 151 d; first red deerskins, 3s 6d per lb; goatskins, 2s per lb.
