Good Quality Grades Sell Well
A large offering was submitted for sale at the fortnightly auction held on July 15, and taking into consideration the 10 per cent, levy, which operated as from to-day, values did not show any marked depreciation while good winter grades were firmer as compared with the previous sale. The following is the range of prices:— , Third broken, to 72d per lb; second broken, to 112 d; First broken, to 125 d; milky, to 55d; summers, 72|d to 784 d; late autumns and incomings, 133 d to 134 d; spotty autumns and incomings, llOd to 128 d; fourth spotty bucks, to 109 d; fourth spotty does, to 125 d; third spotty bucks, 112 d to 122 d; third spotty does, 125 d to 134 d; second spotty bucks, 125 d to 13Gd; second spotty does, 135 d to 143 d; first spotty bucks, to 147 d; first spotty does, to 161 d; second winter bucks, 141 d to 171 d; second winter does, 141 d to 222 d; first winter bucks, 157 d to 195 d; autumns fatty, to 112 d; winters fatty, to 127 d; weevilly, to 42-Jd; third blacks, to second blacks, to 115 d; first blacks, to 237 d; third fawns, to 84d; second fawns, to 138 d; first fawns, to 183 d; hareskins, 117 d to laid; horse hair, to 36d; goat skins, to 2s. The next sale is scheduled for August 29, 1947.
