news nndjottings ... WOMEN Dear Readers, This space is for women and my aim will be to give you each week something which will be of interest to you. Women in New Zealand from the time of our pioneer forbears to the present day have played a vital part in our history and have earned the right to equal status with the menfolk. They take an intelligent interest lillH Ipttlitics, local and international affairs and in addition make homes, bring lift! Children or turn their time and energies to office and business work. Women, however, as. is only natural, do very often have interests and views which they icaunot share with menfolk. A man, for instance, may be unable to understand the joy a woman has when that much pampered bulb by the hedge puts forth a small bud after one had almost given up hope Nor may he understand the satisfaction a woman has from a good brew of jam, a new hat, or perhaps just one of those innumerable little tilings from which we, as women, get something worthwhile out of.
