Queenstown forwards, who played well in the loose, managed to force their opponents back, but once again P. Greedy, Nightcaps half, sent his backs away and after a nice passing rush F. Rutherford went over for a good try, Greedy converting. The Queenstown forwards, led by L. Inder, J. Munro and J. A weak clearing kick by the Queenstown full-back let the visitors in for their second try, Greedy adding the extra points. Queenstown then had a turn on attack, Payne getting his backs away, L. Forde cutting in nicely when a try looked imminent. Shortly afterwards J. Murdoch kicked a penalty goal for Queenstown. The second half wa seven brighter than the first, both backs and forwards of the visitors combining in some splendid movements and the score steadily mounted in their favour. From a scrum in Queenstown twenty-five P. Greedy sent out a long’ pass to his second fiveeighth who reverse-passed to his first five, who went on unopposed for a glorious try.
