Country v. Arrowtown
' A match for the Teachers’ Cup was played between Country and Arrow on Country’s ground, the game resulting Country 7, Arrow 6. The game was very fast and even, and some good play by The hacks and forwards of both teams was seen. In the first spell McLaren potted a goal for Country and J. Scott kicked a penalty goal for Arrow. In the second spell Country scored a try, which they failed to convert, and shortly afterwards L. Oakes scored an unconverted try for Arrow. No further points were added, leaving Country the holders of the Teachers’ Cup.
