WEDDING

A wedding of , local interest was solemnised at Dunedin on June 4 at !) a.m. with Nuptial Mass at St Bernadette’s Church. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion with pink and white chrysanthemums. The contracting parties I wing Thersa Mary, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr J. Mullholland, of Paerau, and John Francis McEntyre, of Arrowtown, and eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. T. McEntyre of Invercargill, and late of Arrowtown. Father Tylee, of Ranfurly was the officiating priest. The bride was beautifully attired in a low-waisted, white silk velvet gown cut on classical lines and trimmed with velvet and sequin rucking. The long train was trimmed with appliqued velvet and sequin flowers, over which she wore a hand-trimmed veil, and carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums, roses, and maiden hair fern, and wore a string of pearls, the gift of the groom. The bridesmaid was Miss Kathleen Kearney of Ranfurly, who wore a deep pink ribbed satin frock made on similar lines to that of the bride with three-quarter length sleeves and head dress of pink veiling and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. Mr Dos McEntyre of Edendale was best man. Solos were snug bv Mr Ray Marshall. »

The reception was held at the Caledonian Club, where the guests were received by Mrs Mulholland we'aring a black frock and scalloped coat. Mrs McEntyrc wore a two-piece black embossed suit. Both ladies wore shoulder sprays to tone. The ushers were Mr Kevin Mulholland brother of the bride, and Mr Kevin McEntyrc, brother of the groom.

The bride and groom later left for the north where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride was wearing a threepiece checked suit trimmed' with black velvet and black accessories. Prior to the wedding, the bride was entertained at a number of gift evenings. The future home of Mr and Mrs McEntyrc will be Plesant View, Arrow - town.
