Sandy's Pride and Ara Chief, both of which secured third placing*’on the first day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s winter meeting were bred at Arrowtown. Sandy’s Pride (Royal Chief —Vain Lady) was I)red by Mr A. R. Hamilton and is now owned by Miss D. M. Wilson of Mata lira. Vain Lady has taken six prizes at Lake Clunty shows and won the Champion Ribbon at the show held in March of tliis year. Ara Chief (Royal Chief—Lads Winton) was bred at Messrs Tin tel Bros., Mill Farm. Arrowtown and is, owned by them.
