ARROWTOWN BALL

Tlio Arrowtown Young Fanners Club Ball was held in the Athenian in Hall on Friday, May .‘SO. ami was a most enjoyable function, although the night was very cold, there were people from Cromwell. Queenstown, and surrounding districts present. The hall was tastefully decorated with coloured lights. Mr 1). K. Rowe, advisory president, thanked all present and explained that the profits of the hall were for the Lincoln College Memorial Fund. This fund is being raised Ijv the Young Farmers for the purpose of building a wing at Lincoln College. During the evening there were novelty dances.

The Lucky Spot waltz was won by Miss D. Wilcox and Mr L. Cowan, and the Monte Carlo by Miss J. Duler and Mr W. Scott. The supper supplied if the young farmers was greatly appreciated. Mr R. Scott (Gibbston) made an efficient master of ceremonies. The music was supplied by the Gaiety Band,' Cromwell.
