Second Round Commenced The second round of the Wakatipu Sub-Union matches was commenced at Country Ground on Saturday in a game between Country and Queenstown, Country kicked-off against a slight breeze. From a penalty kick 40 yards out, Nelson scored with a penalty; Queenstown, 3; Country, nil. The next score came from a try by J. Anderson, Nelson converting; Queenstown, 8; Country, nil. While Country tried hard, much good work was spoiled by mis-handling. Early in the second half Nelson had two shots at goal but failed, both kicks being fairly difficult. Country’s first score came from a penalty kicked by C. Allan; Queenstown, 8; Country, 3. Nelson, at this stage, missed with an easy penalty right in front of Queenstown’s goal. From a scrum on the Queenstown twenty-five, Saunders ran in and scored for Country; the kick at goal failed. The game ending with the score, Queenstown, 8; Country, 6.
