HELENSVILLE v. KAUKAPAKAPA

Members of the local club travelled to Kaukapakapa Saturday afternoon last to engage in a match with that club. A very pleasant time was spent, the visitors being well entertained. Rain delayed play for an hour during the afternoon, but the courts soon dried and play carried on. A start was made on Monday with the tarring of a third court at the local club's grounds. During the process some of the boiling tar caught alight, but the damage done was slight. It is expected th,e new court will be in playing order about the middle January.

The Springs courts are being well patronised by visitors and local players.
