A lady was giving a Scripture lesson on the subject of the prophet Elisha, and the wicked children who reviled him. She described how the aged prophet was foeb% making his way uphill when the children fame about him, jeered and ridiculed him, and called aut, "Go up, thou -bald head!" She then proceeded to impress upon, the class the' duty of being kind, considerate, and respectful to elderly people.
"I hope," .vhe said, "if any of you had been there you would not have been so rude and unmannerly."
"No, mum," decisively responded an
urchin in front
"And what wo"ld you have, done?" asked tho lady.
"I should have walked up to him kindly, mum, an' said as I 'oped '• 'ad got 'is old-age pension."
