KAIPARA RUGBY UNION

The Union held a meeting on Saturday night, Mr J. H. Cheshire presiding over a full attendance of delegates. The referee in the Maori-Helensville match (Mr C. Downer) reported two native spectators and a native player fcu^ alleged misconduct. The complaints wiW , be enquired into at the next meeting 01 the union, which the three natives in question will be asked to attend. It was decided that the management', committee should sit every Monday ev^V ing during the season, so that players^ may become informed of the Saturday's*, arrangements early in the week. Mr R. Constable, a Helensville Club delegate, resigned, and Mr Percy McLeod was appointed in his place. Mr McLeod will also sit on the management committee. Mr R. Baddiley suggested a representative match against Uorthern Wairoa early in the season, and it was resolved to ask for a date next month, Club secretaries, it was resolved, will have to register all their members by the end of the month, after which transfers will be necessary. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Harry Bradly for the assistance, he had rendered the union in the control of. spectators at Giorit-Waimauku match. Mr Bradly's offer of the use of some wire and posts to fence off the playing area, ; was gratefully accepted. The loss of revenue through gate fees not being regularly collected was discussed, and it was docided to pay gate- " keepers ; union officials will also keep a check, so that no one will be admitted to the ground without payment.—ln this connection players will in future obtain passes from the Union secretary.

The secretary, Mr, L. Sykes (transferred), tendered his resignation, which was accepted with regret. Several delegates spoke of Mr Sykes' valued help to the Rugby game during his three years' stay in Helensville Mr J.Stanaway was asked to accept the secretaryship, and he consented amidst applause.
