At the last meeting of the Waitemata County Council it was decided to increase the travelling expenses of councillors by fifty per cent. A sense of humour overcomes one of our readers who sends us a paragraph from the Bell's farm and country notes with the query "Isit a fact ?" The paragraph cited says: "Always aim al choosing a sow with at least 12 teats, an.d always seleot her from a cow which has been in the habit ot producing large Jjtters." Typographically the only dif. ference between a sow and a cow is the letter '* s " hut though the'difference is so small our pig raising friend had hotter not wait for a " cow that has been in the habit of producinglarge litters."
