COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL
A complimentary, social to Mr, Mrs and Miss Malligan, organised by the local Catholic Church Social Committee, was held in the Agricultural Hall on Wednesday evening of last . week, and considering the boisterous weather, there was a good attendance . During the evening Rev. Father Mansfield, on behalf of the church and a large |S number of friends, presented Mrs Malligan with a handsome three-piece silver tea service and tray, suitably engraved. Father Mansfield, in making the presentation, referred to the many occasions on which Mrs and Miss Malligan had as. sisted with their excellent dance music to make the numerous socials held a success, and regarded the presentation made as a small recognition of their valuable assistance. Mr Malligan reBponded on behalf of his wife and . daughter. During the evening songs, 'were contributed by Misses Melvllle and Lyons, a pianoforte solo by Miss Keane, and dance music was played by the Malligan orchestra, Misses Lyons, ■ Keane and Verco, The usual tasty supper was provided, and a pleasant evenIng terminated shortly after midnight,
