NOTES.

A match between Helensville and Gloat will be played at Glorit oa Saturday week, 11th inst. On Saturday, December 18th,

a V.M.C.A. eleven from Auckland will play Helensville on the local ground.

Several of the visiting cricketers on Tuesday last were under the impression that they would be playing at the Hot Springs Grounds, and expressed surprise when told there was no pitch out there. The assurance was given that if proper provision was made for cricket at the Springs, there would be no lack of teams visiting Helensville for matches. The Domain possesses a fine large ground containing ample space for a cricket area, and a good grass wicket could be put down at moderate cost. It is too late this season to do anything in the matter; but it is a recommenda-

tion to the Domain Board to move in the matter before next season commences.
