Sir, —Now that football seems to have no chance of reviving this season (judging by the very little interest taken in it so far), and as there are a number of exhockey players in this district, it would be worth the attempt, I think, to try and form a hockey association in the district. Hockey is a game which was making great strides before the war, and is* rapidly recovering its position again. . I believe the Warkworth district has a very strong association, with about six'or seven teams, and if an association were formed here, inter-club matches could probably be arranged with them, and with city teams. Any how, this letter is just a suggestion, and something might come of it. —I am, etc.,
