Much has been heard recently about money in hides, but the possibilities of the rabbit do not appear to be equally familiar to the public. It is reported that a returned soldier went out after rabbits in the South with several ra,ates, and amassed a large quantity of skins of ft value estimated at £7000, With the iruits of their enterprise the party came to the city and shipped the skins to London, covering them with insurance to the value stated. The value was questioned at the timcbv the officials of the company, but they were quite satisfied a few months later when the rabbiters paid a return visit to the insurance office, and showed them the invoice for tl,& s.t;l& of the skins in London for £22,000. —Exchange.
