MONTHLY MEETING

ACCESS 10 PROPERTY. ; A letter was received from Mr W. E. Barnard, in reference to \ access to Dr Meinhold's pro- = i perty. It was decided to defer the '[ matter until next meeting, clerk; to search entries in the mean- j time for certain records as to j payment for possession of | original agreement. ■' NATIVE RE^RVZ. ! A letter and plan w-.is received ' from the Lands Department re the above. It was decided to . forward plans to the Board's en- ; gineer for consideration. | PROPOSED HOSPITAL. The Chairman explained the proposed hospital scheme, and proposed : That a conference be held, on a date to be arranged, to consist of representatives of the Helensville branch of the Farmer's Union, Waitemata County Council, Foresters' and kindred societies, Returned Sldiers' Association and Helensville Town Board. Seconded by Cr. Coutts and carried. It was decided that the chairman and Cr. McLeod represent the Board at the conference. PUBLIC PARK. It was decided on the motion of the chairman seconded by Cr. Johnson, that representatives of the various clubs be asked to meet the Board in conference with reference to the selection of a site for above. ARREARS OF RATES. It was decided that all arrears of rates up to March 31st, 1920, be applied for at once, and if unpaid, same be placed in solicitors' hands for collection. CROOKED RIVER. Cr. Thompson brought up the question of tbe many bends in the river. After discussion it was decided (Chairman —Cr Coutts) that the Government be asked to straighten the river, and that co-operation of the local bodies be asked for. GENERAL. Permission was granted Mr Simcock to erect a shed on his property in Mary street. A notice to destroy rabbits on the Board's watershed property was received. The matter was left in the hands of the chairman to attend to. In reply to a letter from the Helensville A. and P, Association, in reference to the unsatisfactory state of Mill Road it was decided, on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Cr. Johnson, that necessary work on this road be proceeded with as soor as materials are available. McLeod gave notice o motion that the minutes appoint ing Mr E. T. Field, solicitor t< the Board, be rescinded. The Board decided to accep an invitation to he present at th unveiling of the soldiers memorial at Waimauku on Apri 23rd. A number of accounts wer passed for payment.
